Despite its reputation, Durian is an overwhelmingly popular fruit in
Malaysia. Balik Pulau’s Durian is one of Malaysia’s best places for
durian.
The hilly slopes and temperate climate of Balik Pulau produces some
of the best durians and durian hybrids in the country. Visitors as far
as Singapore and Hong Kong will visit this otherwise sleepy town during
durian season to sample the delicious, creamy Durian Balik Pulau.
Some of the award winning durians in Balik Pulau are Ang Hae, Ang Bak, D16, D700 and of course the famous “Musang King”
